Both of these observations are entirely accurate—but the conclusion that the dog is "lazy" is biologically false. To understand your LGD, you must understand their sleep architecture. Unlike a pet dog that sleeps deeply through the night, an LGD's brain is biologically wired to sacrifice deep sleep in exchange for survival.
